Job Summary

Job Description

As the Animation Technical Director at Hybride, you will define projects and pipeline improvements (cinematics, in-game animation, motion capture, etc.), develop tools and methods to enhance animator workflow, optimize animation graphs and architecture, and provide daily technical support to the animation team. Responsibilities include ensuring technical constraints are met, developing tools and training materials, coordinating with other technical and artistic teams, and communicating technical requirements. Collaboration with other Technical Directors across cinematic teams to maintain workflow coherence is crucial. Experience in real-time animation systems and game development pipelines is essential.
Must have:
  • Solid experience as Animation Technical Director (preferably in game industry)
  • Excellent knowledge of real-time animation systems and game development pipelines
  • Excellent mastery of Motion Builder and/or Maya (Motion Capture expertise)
  • Excellent knowledge of Python
  • Ability to work in a team and handle challenges
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of another DCC software (Maya, 3DS Max, Blender)
  • Rigging knowledge

Description du poste

Ce que vous ferez

  • Définir les projets et les améliorations du pipeline existant (Cinematics, Animation Ingame, Motion Capture, Ragdoll, Facial, Rig …).
  • Développer ou identifier les meilleurs outils et méthodes pour améliorer et faciliter le travail des animateurs.
  • Optimiser le graph et l’architecture d’animation.
  • Soutenir l’équipe d’animation au quotidien en résolvant leurs problèmes techniques et en les aidant à prendre des décisions pour optimiser les graphs d’animation ingame.
  • Garant technique dans le respect des contraintes établies en partenariat avec les autres corps de métier (mémoire, FPS, différentes plateformes).
  • Développer des outils, méthodes, formations, processus et documents de contraintes du moteur pour référence future.
  • Coordonner et assurer l’interface entre l’équipe d’animation et les équipes techniques et artistiques afin d’atteindre un haut niveau de qualité.
  • Communiquer régulièrement les contraintes techniques à l’équipe d’animation.
  • Être le point de contact technique pour les problèmes liés aux animations.
  • Effectuer d’autres tâches connexes.
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les autres Technical Directors Animation des différentes équipes cinématiques pour assurer la cohérence et l’optimisation des workflows.

 

Qualifications

Ce que vous apportez à l’équipe

  • Solide expérience en tant que Technical Director Animation (de préférence dans l’industrie du jeu vidéo)
  • Excellente connaissance des systèmes d’animation en temps réel et du développement de pipeline pour les jeux vidéo
  • Excellente maîtrise de Motion Builder et/ou Maya, idéalement avec une expertise en Motion Capture Body et Facial
  • Excellente connaissance de Python
  • Connaissance d’un autre logiciel DCC (Maya, 3DS Max, Blender)
  • Capacité à travailler en équipe et à relever des défis
  • Des connaissances en rigging sont un atout
