Job Description

The Director of Global Compensation will lead the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive compensation programs on a global scale. This role includes overseeing stock compensation and assisting with executive compensation, ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities involve strategic planning, program design, market analysis, compliance, team leadership, and educating managers and employees on compensation practices.
Must have:
  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive global compensation strategy.
  • Design and manage innovative global compensation programs.
  • Conduct market analysis for competitive pay and internal consistency.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of stock compensation programs.
  • Assist with the administration of executive compensation programs.
  • Conduct regular compensation reviews and analyses.
  • Ensure all compensation programs comply with regulations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of compensation professionals.
  • Develop and deliver communication plans to educate employees on compensation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in compensation management, with 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with executive and stock compensation programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of global compensation practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with compensation analytics and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of new compensation strategies/changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with stakeholders.
  • Ability to design and implement programs in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of market trends.
Good to have:
  • Professional certification (e.g., CCP, CEP) preferred.
  • M&A integration experience preferred.

The Director of Global Compensation will lead the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate talent on a global scale. This role includes overseeing stock compensation programs and assisting with executive compensation, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

We are looking for a Director of Global Compensation who will:

  • Strategic Planning and Leadership
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive global compensation strategy that supports the organization’s business goals objectives and competitive positioning.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance on compensation-related matters to HR leadership and Executive management.
  • Act as a trusted advisor with leadership, HR Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition to align compensation strategies with business needs utilizing a customer-focused approach.
  • Compensation Program Design and Management
  • Design and manage innovative and competitive global compensation programs including salary structures, incentive plans, and equity and compensation allowing for flexibility to meet business needs.
  • Conduct market analysis to ensure competitive pay, global internal consistency and corporate governance.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of the company’s stock compensation programs.
  • Assist with the administration of executive compensation programs.
  • Compensation Analysis and Reporting
  • Conduct regular compensation reviews and analyses to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Prepare and present reports on compensation trends, practices, and program effectiveness to senior leadership.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of compensation-related data, systems, and tools.
  • Compliance and Governance
  • Ensure all compensation programs comply with local, state, federal, and international regulations.
  • Develop and maintain compensation policies and procedures.
  • Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance and competitiveness.
  • Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a team of compensation professionals, providing guidance and support for their development.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of compensation programs with business needs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on compensation-related matters.
  • Manager and Employee Education
  • Develop and deliver communication plans to educate employees on compensation programs and processes
  • Provide training and support to HR Business Partners and Managers on compensation-related topics

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CCP, CEP) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in compensation management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with executive and stock compensation programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of global compensation practices, trends, and regulatory requirements.

Position Pay Range:

This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to geographical location and experience.

$146,530.02-$234,448.25

This role is eligible for a bonus opportunity.
