The Director of Product - Accessories will lead the Accessories category, defining and executing a strategy to significantly contribute to global revenue. This role involves driving category strategy, innovation, and go-to-market plans, with a focus on product development, accessories market understanding, supply chain optimization, and brand partnerships. Responsibilities include developing global roadmaps, driving product development of high-margin accessories, managing supplier relationships, collaborating with market teams, and defining go-to-market strategies. The position requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and a data-driven approach to meet business goals and KPIs.

Tonieboxes have been activated in over 100 countries, the content portfolio includes more than 1,100 Tonies figurines in several languages. You as part of tonies:

We are seeking a visionary and strategic Director of Product to lead and grow our Accessories category. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive strategy to establish tonies' accessories as a significant contributor to global revenue. You will drive category strategy, innovation, and global go-to-market plans, while leveraging a deep understanding of softlines product development, the accessories marketplace in North America and Europe, supply chain optimization, and brand partnerships. As the leader of the accessories business, you will be charged with delivering strong growth while meeting margin and profitability targets.


Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute a global multi-year roadmap for accessories, aligned with the core ecosystem, using consumer and retail insights to optimize positioning and pricing.

  • Drive product development of high-margin, high-attach-rate accessories, implementing fast test-and-learn cycles, prototyping methods, and factory engagement to meet cost targets.

  • Lead strategic partnerships with third-party manufacturers to expand the portfolio and collaborate with licensing to validate consumer demand and enhance brand positioning through strategic brand collabs.

  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiations, ensuring financial and timing goals are consistently met.

  • Collaborate with market teams to adapt product strategies to local needs and maximize performance across different regions.

  • Define and execute go-to-market strategies, including retail, e-commerce, pricing, bundling, and upselling tactics to increase customer revenue and attach rates.

  • Work closely with senior leadership, marketing, sales, research, and other stakeholders to align product initiatives with business goals.

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product and portfolio success, and drive continuous improvement. 


What we are looking for:

  • **Candidates must be currently located in one of the following locations: UK (London), France (Paris), US (Boston), or Germany (preferably Düsseldorf), and able to meet the hybrid work requirement of being in the office at least 40% of the time each month.**
  • 15+ years in consumer brands for electronics, toys, or adjacent industries with a focus on accessories and soft goods.

  • Proven track record of scaling accessories as a meaningful revenue stream in a global organization.

  • Strong expertise in product development, go-to-market strategies, and P&L ownership.

  • Experience working across retail, DTC, and marketplace channels.

  • Data-driven mindset with a deep understanding of pricing, attach rates, and consumer purchasing behavior.

  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills to drive cross-functional collaboration.

  • Excellent English skills required.
