This role involves leading the electrical and mechanical engineering design, analysis, and calculations for renovation, A&A works, and new construction projects at an amusement park. You'll work closely with other disciplines, project managers, and design managers to ensure adherence to park design standards and applicable statutory requirements. Responsibilities include providing technical direction to in-house engineers and designers, managing engineering consultants, reviewing submittals and shop drawings, conducting on-site inspections, and monitoring project progress. You'll also be responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate design standards and liaising with authorities for approvals and inspections.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Building Services, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience in Building Services/Electrical/MVAC/Mechanical Systems design
  • Construction phase experience with submittal/shop drawing review and on-site inspections
  • Experience with various project types including Commercial, Hotel, Infrastructure, Industrial, A&A works, renovations, and new construction
  • Knowledge of BIM and Sustainability
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of design calculation/simulation software
  • Professional Registration with Corporate membership of relevant professional institutions (HKIE/CIBSE/IMechE/IET)

Job Summary:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with other disciplines, project managers and design managers on conducting E&M engineering design, analyses and calculations for renovation, A&A works, and new built project in accordance with park design standards and applicable statutory requirements.
  • Provide technical direction to in-house engineers and designers, and to outside consultants in design production, quality control of working drawings and on-site implementation during construction.
  • Manage engineering consultants on design deliverables and calculations.
  • Submittal/shop drawing review and on-site field inspections for projects in construction phase.
  • Monitor progress of work and ensure that technical quality, interdisciplinary coordination and production requirements are met.
  • Ensure conformance to corporate design standards, guidelines, procedures and specifications.
  • Liaise with Authorities on submission approval and statutory inspections.
  • Provide technical support and professional advice on discipline-related issues and code compliance to internal teams of other divisions.

Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree or above in Building Services, Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • A minimum 8 years of solid working experience in Building Services / Electrical / MVAC / Mechanical Systems design.
  • Experience in the construction phase with submittal/shop drawing review process and on-site field inspections.
  • Experience in different scale projects from Commercial, Hotel, Infrastructure, Industrial, A&A works, renovations to new built construction.
  • Experience in amusement park projects would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge in BIM and Sustainability is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, and knowledge of design calculation / simulation software is preferred.
