Responsibilities:
- Implement and oversee ethics & compliance program activities and initiatives for Indonesia and Malaysia.
- Partner effectively with local management to cultivate an ethical culture through clear communication and demonstration of compliance standards aligned with dentsu’s Code of Conduct and policies.
- Conduct or support compliance risk assessments, collaborating with internal functions and senior management to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks.
- Lead or assist in internal investigations of alleged Code of Conduct and policy breaches, overseeing disciplinary actions and remediation efforts.
- Deliver risk-based ethics and compliance training to enhance understanding and promote sound decision-making aligned with dentsu’s Code of Conduct and key policies.
- Contribute to regular and timely communications on ethics and compliance matters.
- Implement and monitor third-party due diligence processes, resolving red flags in collaboration with internal functions and business partners.
- Embed key policies (e.g., Anti-corruption, Gift and Hospitality, Conflicts of Interest) into business processes, ensuring red flag identification and resolution.
- Facilitate Ethics & Compliance Program review meetings with leadership, ensuring follow-through on action items.
- Assist in creating dashboards, scorecards, and presentations to highlight ethics and compliance gaps and best practices.
- Respond to compliance-related inquiries from staff, management, and Legal and Compliance colleagues, including supporting client inquiries.
- Support M&A compliance due diligence and integration activities.
- Contribute to global and APAC regional ethics and compliance initiatives, shaping program strategy and priorities.
- Review and translate materials into local languages as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- At least of 8 years of experience in Legal Compliance, Legal Policy, Internal Auditor, or Fraud Investigator; including experience in multinational organizations or professional services firms.
- Strong knowledge of ethics and compliance principles, laws, and regulations.
- Proven experience in conducting compliance risk assessments, investigations, and delivering compliance training.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to implement and monitor compliance programs effectively.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in local languages (Indonesian and/or Malaysian) preferred.
- Professional certifications in ethics and compliance (e.g., CCEP, CCEP-I) desirable.
