Job Description

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) supports Philips customers by providing maintenance and installation for HealthTech products and services. This involves troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment (CT/MRI/Cathlab/XRay/Ultrasound). The FSE completes preventive maintenance, manages parts, maintains customer service logs, and communicates with customers. They also participate in sales opportunities, and work within a team to deliver efficient service. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The FSE will also conduct site surveys, provide demonstration support, commission and hand-over projects, participate in corrective maintenance, implement FCOs, and ensure reduced downtime. They are responsible for sales promotion, spare parts sales, identifying system upgrade opportunities, and providing competition information.

The purpose of the Field Service Technician job family is to support the technical needs of Philips customers, providing maintenance and installation to HealthTech products & services, maximizing customer satisfaction by seeking opportunities to support our customers further and deliver value. This family is technical in nature, with strong customer focus, and works collaboratively with the wider organization to provide exceptional service to our customers. Technical capabilities range from product malfunctions, proactive, predictive, upgrades, Bench Repair and installations, and can be provided at customer location/bench repair facility or remotely or via accessing Philips Remote Service channels.

You are responsible for

The FSE performs the major functions listed below. The position may require additional duties/responsibilities that may not be outlined below, and specific functions are subject to change, for Multi-modality. equipment(CT/MRI/Cathlab/XRay/Ultrasound)
•To support Philips customers in Uttar Pradesh and the Kanpur region for multi-modality products and basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair on designated equipment
• Completing Preventive Maintenance and field modifications.
• Ordering and managing repair parts cycle times.
• Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
• Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
• Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated.
• Meeting Health and Human Services, Environmental Health and Safety and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Utilizing the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues.
• Identifying and participating in sales opportunities such as new contracts, contract renewals and system sales.
• Working as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts within assigned area.
• The ability to lift and carry a toolbox that can weigh up to 50 lbs.
• Adhering to current regulatory requirements

Delivery:

  • The FSE would ensure full compliance of Service Delivery Processes and deliver services both effectively and efficiently
  • The FSE would conduct site surveys before taking over the Life Cycle Management of an installed machine
  • The FSE would also provide Demonstration  Support for the system in the region
  • The position of a FSE would entail Commissioning and Handing-over of the respective systems projects
  • FSE would participate in Corrective Maintenance and would also maintain and complete the PM Schedules within the stipulated time frame
  • The FSE would implement FCO.
  • Ensure Reduced down with timely updates to customer.
  • Participate and drive projects to maintain Territory Operational KPI above target in complaisance manner.

Selling :

  • As a FSE, Person would actively participate and support in CS Sales Promotion and achievement of overall CS Team Sales Targets
  • FSE would coordinate the process of Spare parts Sales with the Customer
  • Identifying opportunities for System Upgrades and promoting the same to the Customer would also fall within the job’s purview
  • The FSE would provide Competition Information about the latest developments and the prevailing market condition to enable the organization to be competitive.

Service Administration

  • The FSE would report all necessary information both technical and administration [Call Completion Call Reporting, PM, FCO, Installations] as per the norms
  • The FSE would be responsible for proper handling of parts/ Test & Measuring Instruments to ensure return of all parts with proper documents
  • The responsibility of collecting Customer Overdue Outstanding would lie with the FSE.

Customer Satisfaction

  • FSE would also be responsible for timely escalation of certain issues to the concerned FSE and work as a team to provide appropriate.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • BE- Any engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in X-ray , CT, MR, and Cath lab
  • Strong experience in medical device/services
  • Experience in troubleshooting, Maintenance and installation of medical Equipment.
  • Good Communication skills
