This internship focuses on reviewing and comparing the FAST (Free Ad-Supported Television) capabilities and user experience of various platform partners. The intern will act as a consumer, documenting user journeys and comparing features across 8-10 platforms. Responsibilities include understanding AVOD (Ad-Supported Video on Demand) and FAST product capabilities, analyzing EPG (Electronic Program Guide) organization, identifying similarities and differences between platforms, and presenting findings to sales, marketing, and executive teams. The role also involves potential exposure to other FAST-related projects across various departments, including technology, marketing, finance, sales, and analytics.

Summary of Position

The internship role requires a talented individual with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, a proactive nature, a ''can do'' attitude, the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects, and an ability to thrive in a dynamic, creative, and challenging environment.

 

This role’s main internship project will be to review, understand and compare our platform partners’ FAST capabilities, and the user experience of each.

 

In addition, the role may handle other projects that focus on the core business of FAST with exposure to cross-functional support teams including technology, marketing, finance, sales and analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Act like a consumer and understand the user journey for FAST and AVOD consumption on each of our 8-10 biggest platform
  • Document these use journeys and be able to compare between each
  • Understand AVOD and FAST product capabilities of each (e.g. ‘start over’, ‘binge’)
  • Understand how the EPG is organized and how our channels are presented with in the EPG
  • Identify similarities and differences between each platform, in a way that adds to our understanding of each platform, and that we can present back to platforms 
  • Build a presentation to demonstrate this work to the Sales, Marketing and Execs

  • Familiarity with all distribution types including SVOD, AVOD and FAST
  • Widespread knowledge of the film and TV industry and an enthusiast for film and TV content (both current and historical)
  • Possess highly creative and innovative capabilities
  • Foreign language skills are a plus

Program Dates: Tuesday, June 10th – Friday, August 15th, 2025 (10 Weeks)

All interns are required to attend orientation on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025.

Details

  • Interns must not work more than 36 hours per week
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree
  • Interns must be current rising juniors through recent grads (within 6 months of internship start date)
  • Graduate students are eligible to apply
  • Interns must be available to work for the entire length of the program
  • All internships are paid
  • Most internship positions will require working 4 days in office

Compensation

$18 per hour
