Job Description

The IT Asset Analyst will be responsible for analyzing large datasets related to software installations, hardware configurations, procurement, financial, and license entitlements. This role requires strong collaboration with other IT departments, including Support & Services, Procurement, and IT Architecture, to ensure accurate software discovery and reporting. Key responsibilities include managing software request tickets, entering license entitlement records into the SAM Repository (Snow), and communicating project status to senior leadership. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of experience and advanced Excel skills; experience with SAM tools, particularly Snow software, is preferred. The role involves mitigating software licensing risks, ensuring compliance, and preventing overspending.

Must have:

3+ years experience
Advanced Excel skills
Software Asset Management knowledge
Snow Software experience (preferred)
Excellent collaboration skills

Good to have:

Experience in highly matrixed teams
IT project management experience
Healthcare or Fortune 100 company experience
Hardware/software provisioning experience
Contract interpretation and compliance knowledge

Project description

Software Asset Management, knowledge and experiences in managing the Software Licensing by supporting and protecting client from Software Vendors audits, compliance and regulatory risks, and overspending on Software Licenses.

Responsibilities

Analyze large sets of Data related to software installation, Hardwware configuration, procurement, Financial and License Entitlement.

Builds Strong working relationships with other IT departments, including but not limited to, Support & services, Procurement, IT Architecture teams to ensure software discovery and reporting meets requirements.

Manages and works software request tickets.

Enters License Entitlements records into the SAM Repository(Snow).

Communicate status of various projects to senior leadership

Skills

Must have

3+ years of experience

Any experience in or exposure to Software Asset Management policies and practices is an Advantage.

Advanced Excel Skills Preferred

Experience of working on any of the SAM tools

Snow software is preferred.

Excellent collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills

Nice to have

Exposure working in Highly matrixed teams and/or managing IT Projects, initiatives, and deliverables

Health Care industry or Fortune 100 size company & complexity experience

Experience with hardware and software provisioning, procurement, contract interpretation and or compliance policies and processes is an added advantage.

International experience a plu
