Job Description

The IT Hardware Technician will install and deploy hardware and software components, image and configure machines, structure user workstations, and troubleshoot issues. They will also ensure proper tracking of hardware and software, act as a liaison between Zones' team and the customer, and maintain a clean work environment. Additional responsibilities include following customer instructions and performing other assigned duties. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
Must have:
  • Install and deploy hardware and software components.
  • Image and configure machines using SCCM.
  • Structure user workstations.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide resolutions.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience with PC systems and software.
  • Experience imaging machines with SCCM.

Job Details

Position Overview: 
 
Term:  3+ Months (High potential for long-term extension) 
Location: onsite in Albany, NY

Hours: Day shift - Mon-Friday 9-5pm ET
Pay:  up to $32/hr commensurate with experience + benefits
What you'll do as the IT Hardware Technician

  • Install and deploy hardware components.
  • Install and deploy software applications.
  • Image and configure machines using SCCM
  • Structure user workstations.
  • Transport a work system to a new location.
  • Switch to a different workstation system.
  • Alter the end user.
  • Install additional hardware
  • Install additional software
  • Alter the existing hardware configuration
  • Update installed software
  • Customize software settings
  • Uninstall unused software
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide resolutions
Additional responsibilities:  
  • Ensure proper tracking and maintenance of hardware and software systems utilized by the team.
  • Act as the liaison between Zones’ team and the customer.
  • Follow specific instructions provided by the customer
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring to the table: 
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree and/or 2+ years experience with PC systems, related peripherals and common software programs and Windows Operating Systems.  
  • Experience imaging machines with SCCM.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, interpersonal skills and team-oriented attitude.
  • Demonstrate active listening skills with ability to act with sensitivity and empathize with customer's situation.
  • Demonstrate compassion and discretion in a patient care environment in support of overall service provided to the customer
  • Ability to lift 50 lb
