Job Description

The Level Artist will be responsible for creating amazing locations for the SPINE project, which is made with Unreal Engine 5 and centered around cinematic gun-fu shootouts. This third-person beat 'em up game has a deep storyline, a unique setting, cutscenes, intriguing enemies, memorable bosses, character progression, and breathtaking battles. The Level Artist will work with level designers and the art director on the art direction and vision of the project, block out basic ideas, arrange assets, find optimal solutions, perform final polishing of levels, and set up lighting.
Must have:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Unreal Engine.
  • Understanding of composition, light, and color principles.
  • Basic understanding of game design.
  • Professional approach to working with feedback.
  • Fluent communication in English or Russian.
Good to have:
  • Experience working on AAA-level projects.
  • Experience as a 3D modeler, concept artist, or lighting artist.

Job Details

Stunning visuals and immersive environment is a key part of one of the studio’s leading projects – SPINE. So currently we are looking for a Level Artist to help us create even more amazing locations.

 

SPINE is made with Unreal Engine 5 and centered around cinematic gun-fu shootouts. It’s a third-person beat’em’up with a full set of PC gaming features, including a deep storyline, a unique setting, cutscenes, intriguing enemies, memorable bosses, character progression, and, most importantly, breathtaking battles with a wide array of firearms.

 

This project represents a new ambitious challenge for the company as it marks our first game for both PC and consoles.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with level designers and art director on the overall art direction and vision of the project.
  • Block out basic ideas, arrange assets.
  • Find optimal solutions in visual and functional aspects.
  • Work with documentation and according to documentation.
  • Perform final polishing of levels, work with micro-compositions.
  • Set up lighting.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Unreal Engine.
  • Understanding of composition, light, and color principles.
  • Basic understanding of game design.
  • Professional approach to working with feedback.
  • Flexibility and initiative.
  • Desire to work in a team.
  • Fluent communication in English or Russian is required.

Welcomed:

  • Experience working on AAA-level projects.
  • Experience as a 3D modeler, concept artist, or lighting artist.
