Cloud Imperium Games is seeking a Legal Coordinator/Legal Manager to join their team in Frankfurt. This role involves managing projects across a range of legal areas and supporting the Department Lawyers and Legal Operations Manager. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing vendor contracts, managing contract approval and signature processes, excerpting, calendaring, and tracking important contract provisions, building and managing contract repositories and databases/cloud systems, building and maintaining game contributor credit listings, helping design, implement, and maintain department processes, systems, and technology applications, managing various legal team initiatives and working across company departments with other internal teams, supporting special legal projects and tasks as required, and assisting with communications with regulatory agencies and other authorities.

The Legal department seeks a Legal Coordinator / Legal Manager (depending on experience) to join their team in our Frankfurt studio. This position is a generalist role and will involve managing projects across a range of legal areas and supporting the Department Lawyers and the Legal Operations Manager. Founded in 2012, Cloud Imperium Games creates cutting-edge videogames that defy expectations. We’re currently developing Star Citizen, a record breaking multiplayer online space sim, and Squadron 42, a cinematic single-player adventure set in the same universe. For more information about life at Cloud Imperium Games, check this out – https://youtu.be/rH59z29Odfo **What does a Legal Coordinator / Legal Manager at CIG do?** * Drafting and reviewing vendor contracts, including license agreements, and raising critical issues for counsel review; * Managing contract approval and signature processes; * Excerpt, calendar and track important contract provisions, including key deliverables, dates, deadlines and termination or cancellation requirements; * Building and managing contract repository and database/cloud systems; * Build and maintain extensive game contributor credit listings; * Help design, implement and maintain various department processes, systems, and technology applications; * Manage various legal team initiatives and work across company departments with other internal teams; * Support special legal projects and tasks as required; * Assisting with communications with regulatory agencies and other authorities. **Minimum Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree, e.g. Wirtschaftsjurist * Very good oral and written English skills. **What would we expect from our Legal Coordinator / Legal Manager?** * Good analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to communicate issues and drive open matters to completion; * Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, innovative and demanding environment; * Ability to effectively and efficiently manage several time-sensitive matters and projects concurrently; * Strong communication skills as this position involves direct contact with senior management and various teams across the organization; * Strong organizational skills and ability to be self-directed when needed; * Common sense, great judgement and team spirit; * Contract drafting and administration experience, either as a paralegal or professional in similar in-house roles is a plus; * Prior experience in the video game industry and/or personal interest in video games is a plus. **Diversity Statement** *CIG is a global company, staunchly committed to cultivating a culture and workplace that celebrates all backgrounds, lifestyles, and perspectives.
