Luma Melbourne is seeking Mid to Senior-level Lighting Artists for VFX feature films. Responsibilities include creating CG lighting for integrating CG elements into live action and full CG shots, developing lighting rigs, creating tools and scripts to improve workflow, and optimizing render times. Candidates should have at least 5 years of feature film lighting experience, strong proficiency in Maya and Katana, and an understanding of multi-pass 3D compositing. The role requires a team-oriented approach, excellent time management, and strong organizational skills. The position is based in Melbourne, Australia.

Luma Melbourne is hiring Mid to Senior-level Lighting artists to join the team! The Mid to Senior Lighting artist is responsible for the Lighting and Rendering of CG objects and environments for VFX feature films.

Please note that candidates should be currently located within Australia for consideration.

You Can

    • Create CG Lighting for integration of CG elements into Live Action
    • Create CG Lighting for full CG shots
    • Create lighting rigs to be used by other artists
    • Create tools and scripts to facilitate workflow
    • Develop methodologies for reduction of render time and improving quality of results

You Have

    • At least 5 years lighting experience on feature films
    • An extensive knowledge of Maya and Katana
    • An understanding of multi pass 3D compositing
    • A team player mentality with a ‘get it done’ attitude
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Strong organizational skills
    • A solid work ethic and a positive attitude
