Job Description

The Manager, Product Support at Zscaler will establish operational goals, delegate assignments, and mentor a team of up to 15. This role requires collaboration with Support, Engineering, Ops, and Sales teams. Responsibilities include supporting project and engagement plans with clients, providing technical leadership during incidents, resolving complex technical issues, and working with Customer Success Managers. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of team management experience, a deep understanding of web-based security and network infrastructure (NGFW, SSL/IPSec VPNs, Firewalls), and strong customer management skills.

Our Customer Success Strategy & Operations team uses valuable data and market research to help our customers succeed and drive value. Our teams collaborate to identify solutions using competitor and industry trend analysis, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making. We're responsible for facilitating smooth transitions during organizational change efforts that promote employee adoption. You'll be an integral part of solving challenges faced by our frontline teams to help make Zscaler more efficient and effective in meeting our customers' needs.

We're looking for an experienced Manager of Product Support to join our team. This role would report into to the Director of Customer Services in Japan in a hybrid setting.

  • Establish operational goals and work plans and delegates assignments to your team
  • Promote behavior, motivate, and above all, support the existing Product Support team – coach them, contribute to customer pursuits.
  • You will also work with our teams in Support, Engineering, Ops, and sales, so collaboration and team ethics are important.
  • Work with the Customer Success Managers to support project and engagement plans with your clients and provide technical leadership during major incidents
  • Resolve the more difficult technical issues and lingering issues our clients may have

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • You have more than 5 years of experience managing teams of up 15 members
  • Minimum university degree in IT, or related field.
  • Must have a detailed working knowledge of web-based security and network infrastructure, Security Proxies, such as NGFW, SSL/IPSec VPNs, and Firewalls, along with Customer management skills during and post incident response and the our clients choices.

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Vendor certification CISSP, CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE, and MCSE a distinct advantage.
