This role manages inventory accuracy, supports production schedules, and leads a team to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership, deep knowledge of material flow in manufacturing, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Must have:
  • Lead and manage day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, kitting, shipping, inventory control, and material movement.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production planning, and manufacturing for material availability.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Develop and enforce warehouse processes for efficiency, cleanliness, and safety (5S/Lean).
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics for timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs: inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rate, receiving cycle time, kitting readiness.
  • Optimize layout and space utilization to improve material flow and minimize handling.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA).
  • Train, develop, and evaluate team members; foster accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in ERP/MRP system usage and enhancements related to warehouse functions.
Good to have:
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of material flow in a manufacturing setting, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the warehouse team, including receiving, stocking, kitting, shipping, inventory control, and material movement.
  • Coordinate closely with procurement, production planning, and manufacturing to align material availability with production schedules.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Develop and enforce warehouse processes that promote efficiency, cleanliness, and safety (5S/Lean).
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rate, receiving cycle time, and kitting readiness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of warehouse/materials management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of material planning, inventory control, and warehouse best practices.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Effective communicator and team builder.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional standing and walking within the office.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
  • Visual acuity to read screens, documents, and reports.
  • Work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with exposure to forklifts, machinery, and varying temperatures.
  • Occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to access file drawers, cabinets, or office supplies.
  • Lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds occasionally.

This role requires access to export-controlled information or items that require “U.S. Person” status.
