Job Description

As a NON CDL Driver at Crozier, you will be responsible for the safe handling and transportation of artwork between Crozier facilities, ensuring the integrity of the artworks. This includes loading and unloading freight, packing, crating, and installing artworks, as well as conducting inspection reports. You'll also lead a team, communicate with clients, and operate a company vehicle. The role involves local travel 95% of the time and 5% overnight travel.
Must have:
  • 2+ years experience in fine arts transportation.
  • Knowledge of packing, crating, and installation techniques.
  • Experience operating Gantry and Rigging equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate a 26-ft box truck.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

NON CDL Driver - Crozier

and long-term preservation of art and culture.
To that end, our NON CDL Art Transportation Drivers are responsible for ensuring the safe handling of artwork, during transit, from one Crozier facility to another. In addition, the candidate will be assisting with
the loading and unloading of freight, ensuring the integrity of all artworks stays intact.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Handle and move artworks, including wrapping, packing, and crating using appropriate
● Install/de-install artworks during onsite projects using proper techniques and tools
● Load/unload trucks to ensure safe transit
● Plan the organization and packing of trucks to ensure utmost safety of objects
● Conduct inspection reports for various types of art objects
● Lead a team, providing guidance and coaching during projects
● Act as liaison while onsite between clients and company management
● Determine strategy for projects, particularly when senior staff are not onsite
● Safely operate company vehicle; transport art to their destinations
● Perform all required truck inspections
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Minimum: high school diploma. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
● 2 + years experience within the fine arts transportation or specialized removals industry
● Industry-standard packing, crating, and installation techniques and

materials
● Experienced in operation of Gantry and Rigging equipment
● Speak effectively to clients and coworkers
● Strong attention to detail, discretion, and follow-through
● Team player, with the ability to lead and effectively communicate instructions. Additionally,
self-motivated and able to work well under pressure
● Lift and move heavy objects (in excess of 75 lbs), bend, kneel, crouch, stand

 

DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS:
● Ability to safely operate 26-ft box truck, at minimum

● Valid driver’s license
● Clean/Clear driving record with ability to pass all driving check
● CDL license not required but preferred
● Travel: Local = 95% Overnight = 5%
