As a Principal Engineer, Architect you will be a technical leader responsible for guiding our product architecture and engineering teams to advance the product and collaborate with organizational goals and peer systems and platforms/services. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction and target architecture, designing robust solutions, collaborating on the greater Flexera target architecture, and ensuring the successful implementation of our product.

What you'll do:

• Translating business requirements into technical specifications including but not restricted to data flows, system and 3rd party integrations, data transformations, data stores, front end and middle tier architectures, and target architectures

• Defining and aligning framework, standards, and principles including security, data modeling and tooling/patterns

• Identify and address performance bottlenecks and scalability issues in the product defining architecture for scale and performance

• Hands on expertise on AWS working with different services and data stores in AWS – serverless and container/Kubernetes implementation patterns

• Collaborating and coordinating with multiple departments, stakeholders, partners, and external vendors

You'll be expected to have:

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in software development and design with a recent strong focus on architecture

• Proven experience as a technical leader or architect in complex cloud-native software as a service software

• Strong knowledge in python, spark, SQL, no-SQL, react, Javascript/Typescript

• Deep expertise in AWS services and cloud-native development

• Experience in infrastructure as code scripting using Terraform or Cloud Formation

• Experience in analytics and warehousing structures and practices

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Cloud cost management / FinOps experience a plus

• Undergraduate degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
