Summary

As a Principal Product Manager at Zscaler, you will own the Zscaler Automation Framework, improving automation engineer productivity and experience within the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange. You'll analyze the customer journey (pre and post-sales) to identify automation opportunities, translating insights into feature requirements. Collaboration with cross-functional teams (engineering, sales, solutions, partners) is key, advocating an "Automation First" approach. Responsibilities include driving framework adoption by customers and partners, enhancing the product lifecycle (build, deploy, operate), and defining the product roadmap for a leading cloud security platform.
Must have:
  • 8-10 years Enterprise Product experience in Cybersecurity
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field
  • API Auth Methods, API design & flows knowledge
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines
Good to have:
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi
  • Problem-solving & requirement identification skills
  • Strong engineering background; technical degree/certification
  • Customer-facing engineering experience

We're looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our Platform Initiatives Product Management team. Reporting to the Director of Product Management , you'll be responsible for:

  • Own Zscaler Automation Framework as a product and improve the productivity and experience of Automation Engineers in charge of adopting Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange
  • Understand Zscaler customer journey pre & post sales and translate those into tangible improvements with feature requirements and identify and drive platform automation opportunities to completion, enhancing all aspects of the Zscaler product lifecycle - build, deploy, operate
  • Work effectively with cross-functional global teams including engineering, sales, solutions, partners etc and evangelize "Automation First" approach internally and externally 
  • Promote and drive adoption of new Zscaler Automation Framework by customers and partners

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) 

  • Must have 8-10 years of experience in Enterprise Products with Cybersecurity, Information Security or Network Security Product Management
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 
  • Must have working knowledge of API Auth Methods, API design & flows 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to Zscaler customers & partners and ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Previous experience with automation frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi
  • Previous experience in problem solving, identifying requirements, authoring functional specs
  • Strong engineering background - technical degree/certification, previous hands-on engineering experience preferred and ideal candidates have customer facing engineering experience - escalation engineering, sales engineering, deployment service etc

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range
$161,000$230,000 USD
