Job Description

As a RAMS Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the RAMS performance of the PIS system throughout its lifecycle. Your role involves collaborating with various departments, including technology, sales, and purchasing, to provide technical support. You'll also communicate with customers and senior management, and be part of an independent department. The responsibilities include reviewing CBC, providing technical support for sales engineers, performing RAMS analysis, supporting internal colleagues, and upgrading internal databases.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 3 years working experience in railway industry
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Experience in RAMS analysis or documents such as FMECA is preferred
  • Familiarity with RAMS or reliability related standards is preferred
  • Proficient in using office software

Who will you be working with?

You'll join the world's leading supplier of passenger information system solutions and work with our talented R&D team to create the best-performing, reliable and industry-renowned PIS product.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the information/comfort solutions product line of transit group/division, you will be responsible for the RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and safety) performance management for PIS system in their whole life cycle. You'll get input from a variety of departments, including technology, sales, and purchasing, and then provide technical support to them. Sometimes there will be direct communication with customers or senior management. You will be part of a very independent but well known department.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  •  3 years working experience in railway industry
  •  Excellent written and spoken English
  •  Experience in RAMS analysis or documents such as FMECA, LCC, reliability analysis, FTA, FCIL, etc. is preferred
  •  Familiarity with RAMS or reliability related standards is preferred (such as EN50125, IEC62380, EN45545)
  •  Proficient in using office software

What will your typical day look like?

  •  Review CBC, provide RAMS technical support for sales engineer, create tender LCC
  •  Perform RAMS analysis on the project in the design and create RAMS files
  •  Provide support or negotiation for internal colleagues or external customers through remote means such as meetings or on-site communication
  •  Upgrade and maintain internal databases
  •  Support third-party auditing
