Job Description

This role involves leading and managing the Americas Aftermarket team to achieve booking and revenue targets. Responsibilities include managing quotations and order intake, planning inventory to minimize customer delays, and motivating the team to develop in-depth product knowledge. The position requires communicating order entry, expediting, and customer delivery information accurately. You will also survey, analyze, and report on key accounts, partner with cross-functional teams for continuous improvement, and develop sales plans and pricing strategies. Forecasting booking and revenue, analyzing competitive products, and building strong customer relationships are also key. The role demands leadership, ethical conduct, and fostering teamwork. You will be responsible for staffing, recruitment, hiring, monitoring staff job skills, and developing training and development plans for each staff member. Managing team account portfolios to achieve booking targets is crucial. This is a hybrid full-time position.
Must have:
  • B.S. degree in Business
  • 10+ years B2B inside sales/customer service
  • 7+ years managing a team
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM
  • Experience with Quote to Fulfill processes
  • Strong leadership ability
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Develop product knowledge (IR Optics, lasers)

  • Ability to balance and prioritize workload

Job Details

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Americas Aftermarket team (8-10 people) in the achievement of booking and revenue targets.
  • Manage quotations and order intake such that product mix matches fabrication ability and shop floor loading.
  • Plans and manages inventory such that repeat customers experience a minimum of delivery delays.
  • Motivate and ensure team develops an in-depth knowledge of optical solution products to meet customer needs.  Suggests and promotes new products that fulfill customer requirements as applicable.
  • Communicates order entry, expediting and customer delivery information accurately and expeditiously.
  • Continually surveys, analyzes and reports on key accounts and key developments in each market segment.
  • Partners with cross functional team to drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize resources, improve margins, grow market share, and drive positive customer experience.
  • Work in conjunction with sales and product line management to develop and implement sales plans and pricing strategies.
  • Develop booking and revenue forecasts by market segment and product type.
  • Periodically develop and analyze reports on competitive products, services and pricing. 
  • Develop solid relationships with key customer contacts and accounts.
  • Leadership, ethics and motivation are demonstrated in all activities.
  • Senior sales and business group management is kept informed of all developing opportunities that could impact capacity and delivery.
  • Fosters an environment of teamwork such that departmental objectives are accomplished.
  • Responsible for all staffing, recruitment and hiring of department personnel.
  • Continually monitors staff job skills, and training plan
  • Provides development plans for each staff member 
  • Manages team account portfolios to achieve booking targets

 

Education & Experience

  • Education:  B.S. degree in Business preferred
  • Experience: 
    •  At least 10 years B2B inside sales or customer service organization supporting end-users in a related field. 
    • 7+ years managing dynamic, high-performing team.
    • Experience with large ERP systems such as SAP / Oracle
    • Experience with Sales Force CRM
    • Experience with Quote to Fulfill business processes

  • Develop in depth knowledge of product portfolio associated with IR Optics applications, manufacturing processes, and wide range of industiral and laser applications. 

Working Conditions

  • Sitting for extended periods of time working at a computer

  • Will to work off-core hours if needed
  • 10% travel may be required
