Job Description

The Regional VP, Sales role offers the opportunity to lead MiQ's commercial presence on the West Coast. The RVP will rebuild the sales team, restructure as needed, and manage the revenue strategy across key markets. Responsibilities include owning revenue, leading sales team rebuild, developing client relationships, and driving growth. This position requires strategic leadership, client development, and team coaching. Candidates should have a proven track record in sales leadership and a deep understanding of the advertising ecosystem.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This RVP, West Sales role is an opportunity to reshape and lead MiQ’s commercial presence across the West Coast. Reporting into the Managing Director, the RVP will be empowered to rebuild the sales team from the ground up, restructure as needed, and own the revenue strategy across key markets including SoCal, the Pacific Northwest, Arizona, Utah, and Nevada.

This leader brings sharp deal-making skills, a deep understanding of agency and client ecosystems, and strong executive relationships across holding companies, independents, and brand-direct partners. They will set a high-performance bar for the sales team, serve as a strategic support layer across the full region, and drive aggressive, sustainable growth in a fast-moving programmatic landscape.

 WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Strategic Leadership & Revenue Growth

  • Own revenue and gross profit delivery across the West, with accurate forecasting and clear accountability.
  • Lead the strategic rebuild of the West Coast sales team—recruiting, restructuring, and realigning talent to drive results.
  • Set performance standards and compensation plans
  • Hold the team accountable to clear targets while managing the day to day sales cycle for success
  • Act as a strategic support layer for the full region, including PNW, SoCal, Las Vegas, Utah, and Arizona, with consistent physical presence in each market.

Client & Market Development

  • Cultivate and expand executive relationships across holding companies, independent agencies, and client-direct partners.
  • Represent MiQ at the most senior levels, identifying whitespace and delivering innovative, data-led solutions.
  • Actively drive key deal conversations and close high-value opportunities.
  • Participate in AdClubs across each sub-region

Team Coaching & Cross-Functional Execution

  • Unify Sales, Account Management, Trading, Analytics, and Solutions teams to deliver sustainable, scalable results.
  • Build a culture of ambition, learning, and high performance.
  • Develop direct reports with consistent feedback and stretch opportunities.

Regional Growth & Market Insights

  • Strong understanding and articulation of MiQ’s value prop in the market
  • Autonomously restructure the team and resources to match regional demands and market shifts.
  • Identify growth gaps and partner with internal stakeholders to build new opportunities.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, client needs, and competitor moves. 

  YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Proven track record in rebuilding and scaling high-performing sales teams from the ground up.
  • Strategic thinker with the autonomy and leadership presence to restructure team functions for maximum efficiency.
  • Can lead at the account level, VP and up.
  • Deeply understands agency and client direct structures and inner workings.
  • Holds strong relationships with upper-level decision-makers at holding companies, independent agencies, and major client accounts.
  • Experience managing teams of direct and indirect reports.
  • Ability to hold and enforce high performance standards and accountability across a growing team.
  • Notable experience in Entertainment, Shopper Marketing, Auto preferred but not required.
  • Notable experience in Advanced TV preferred but not required.
    High degree of self-motivation and drive, sufficient to act as independent business owner.
  • Strategic thinking skills, looking beyond RFPs to propose plans to meet business needs/challenges.
  • Ability to travel across all regional markets, including PNW, SoCal, Las Vegas, Utah, and Arizona.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Pay Transparency 

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York City, MiQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York City and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At MiQ, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $210,000-$250,000. This range may vary for positions outside of New York City as it has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled and does not take into account our bonus and commission structures.
