The Research and Thought Leadership team within the broader Marketing team at AlphaSense plays a pivotal role in positioning the company as a trusted leader in the financial data and business intelligence space. This team combines industry expertise with cutting-edge business and financial insights to produce high-quality research, market commentary, and thought-leadership content. The team's work not only informs clients and prospects but also shapes broader financial industry conversations, driving deeper engagement within key sectors such as technology, energy, and healthcare, as well as overall macroeconomic trends. Through these efforts, the team helps solidify AlphaSense's reputation as an indispensable resource for business and financial information.

About the Role: 

AlphaSense is seeking an experienced Senior Market Analyst with expertise in macroeconomic trends and financial markets. This individual will produce insightful and comprehensive market analyses, reports, and commentary supporting AlphaSense’s research and content initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a macro analyst or economist, with a proven track record of publishing high-quality research and presenting their findings to internal and external audiences, including media appearances, industry conferences, and client events.

The Senior Market Analyst will play a key role in shaping AlphaSense’s thought leadership in the financial markets, working closely with the Managing Director of Research to deliver timely and impactful insights that showcase the full power and capabilities of the AlphaSense platform. This individual will create, edit, and optimize high-quality content supporting AlphaSense’s marketing initiatives, brand, research, and thought leadership goals.

Content formats will range from blog posts and white papers to data-driven reports, email newsletters, short research notes, and more.

What You’ll Do: 

Market and Economic Analysis:

    • Conduct in-depth analysis of macroeconomic trends, global financial markets, and industry-specific developments.
    • Monitor and interpret data from a wide range of sources, including central bank announcements, economic indicators, and market performance data, to produce actionable insights.
    • Identify key themes and trends affecting economies, industries, and investment markets, and provide forward-looking perspectives.

Research and Writing:

    • Produce written reports, white papers, and commentary on global macroeconomic conditions, market outlooks, and relevant policy developments.
    • Author articles, research notes, and thought leadership pieces that provide unique perspectives on economic and market dynamics.
    • Work closely with the editorial and marketing teams to ensure that research is effectively communicated to a broad audience, including financial professionals, corporate leaders, and institutional clients.

Presentation and Communication:

    • Present research findings and market views at conferences, webinars, and client events, representing AlphaSense as a thought leader in the financial community.
    • Engage with media outlets, providing expert commentary on market movements, economic policies, and investment strategies.
    • Deliver presentations to internal stakeholders and external clients, effectively conveying complex economic and market trends in a clear and accessible manner.

Thought Leadership and Content Strategy:

    • Contribute to the overall content strategy by identifying key market themes that resonate with AlphaSense’s audience.
    • Stay current on global macroeconomic and financial market trends, ensuring that research remains timely and relevant.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on macroeconomic issues, contributing to the firm’s public profile and enhancing its reputation in the financial research community.

Who You Are:

Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience as a macro analyst, economist, or related role, with a focus on global macroeconomic and financial market analysis.
    • Proven track record of producing high-quality research and presenting findings to senior executives, clients, and media outlets.
    • Experience speaking at conferences, industry panels, or other professional events.

Analytical and Research Skills:

    • Deep understanding of global macroeconomic indicators, financial markets, central bank policies, and geopolitical events.
    • Ability to interpret large datasets and provide concise, actionable insights for a professional financial audience.
    • Strong quantitative skills with experience working with economic and market data.

Communication and Presentation:

    • Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to convey complex economic and financial concepts in a clear, engaging manner.
    • Comfortable engaging with the media and presenting to both internal and external audiences.
    • Ability to translate macro analysis into practical insights for diverse stakeholders, including clients, investors, and financial professionals.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with various departments, including marketing, product, and sales.

Base Compensation Range*:  $120,000 - $140,000

Additional Components: You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.

*For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
