The Sales Specialist at Google Customer Solutions (GCS) focuses on driving business growth for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) by partnering with them to develop and implement effective digital marketing strategies using Google's advertising solutions. Responsibilities include prospecting clients, managing sales pipelines, presenting digital marketing solutions, expanding existing customer accounts, providing performance-enhancing suggestions, and promoting other Google products. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, along with a deep understanding of online media and advertising. The role involves communicating with clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings, prioritizing client satisfaction, and consistently exceeding expectations. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years experience in advertising sales, business development or online media.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years in advertising sales/business development
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Client relationship management expertise
  • Proficient in digital marketing solutions
Good to have:
  • Experience managing business growth
  • Strong organizational skills and teamwork abilities
  • Interest in educating new advertisers
  • Knowledge of Google's product offerings

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in an advertising sales, business development, or online media environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing business growth and maintaining client relationships.
  • Excellent organization skills, with the ability to work well within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present advertising solutions over the telephone to prospects.
  • Interest in sales as well as an interest in working with and educating new advertisers.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect clients and identify leads.
  • Manage the business pipeline and develop a strategy.
  • Present digital marketing solutions, implement ways to expand customers existing accounts, tailor and share performance-enhancing suggestions, and promote other Google products.
  • Communicate with customers by phone and email, and in person when needed.
  • Prioritize and deliver a positive customer business experience to Google's advertisers.
