Senior 3D Artist

We are looking for a creative individual to join our team as a 3D artist. The responsibilities of the 3D artist include creating still and moving images using computers, creating 3D models of products, and managing multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.You will be working in a team with lots of other talented artists, engineers and programmers. You must be well versed with industry standard 3D modeling programs and tools. Good spatial skills and a well-honed sense of colour and design will help you succeed in this job.

Responsibilities:

• Using 3D modeling, texture, mapping, and other techniques to create graphics, visual effects, and animations.
• Collaborating with Animators and other artists and attending meetings to discuss ongoing projects.
• Optimize 3D assets for performance and scalability within metaverse platforms, ensuring efficient rendering and minimal latency.
• Understanding the project requirements and conceptualizing creative ideas.
• Creating storyboards to visualize scenes and create a realistic environment for games, and other visual effects.
• Rig and animate characters, creatures, and objects to bring them to life with lifelike movements and expressions.
• Receiving feedback from directors, animators, designers, and clients, and editing your creations based on the comments received.
• Reviewing 3D arts and recommending improvements.
• Creating 3D sculpts and assets to meet artistic standards.
• Troubleshooting any problems that arise during work on a project.
• Develop design layouts for complex projects using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools.
• Ensure assets meet technical and performance requirements while maintaining artistic integrity and visual appeal.
• Create sketches, artwork or illustrations as required
• Proactively create, maintain and effectively use library elements.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and norms
  

Qualifications and skills:

• Technical diploma in 3D modeling or a degree in fine arts
• Proven experience as a 3D Artist in the gaming, VR/AR, or metaverse industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering.
• Strong working knowledge of industry-standard software, including Blender, 3ds Max, V-Ray, SketchUp, and Maya.
• Experience with character rigging and animation, including knowledge of skeletal systems and animation principles.
• Strong artistic vision, creativity, and attention to detail, with a passion for pushing the boundaries of virtual experiences and storytelling.
• An eye for composition, realism, texture, color, and lighting.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Willingness to remain up-to-date on the latest creative software and hardware.
• Knowledge of shader programming and material creation.
