Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Senior Cinematic Artist to become a part of our Warsaw/ Wroclaw studios and aid in the continued progress of Dying Light. Our Cinematics team excels in creating captivating interactive sequences and cutscenes utilizing cutting-edge animation tools and motion capture systems. You'll work alongside renowned storytellers to craft scenes that are emotionally captivating or electrifying and spectacular. If you have a talent for bringing narratives to life through awe-inspiring cinematics and aspire to contribute to a revolutionary project within a dynamic and imaginative setting, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Designing immersive scenes with exceptional pacing, performance, cinematography, editing, and timing.
- Collaborating with Designers, various departments, and Leads to enhance visual storytelling clarity and ensure seamless story and gameplay continuity.
- Organizing actor placement and camera setups.
- Delivering high-quality tasks on schedule.
- Adhering to and sustaining pipelines and technical criteria.
- Delivering attractive and engaging acting solutions in scenes.
Qualifications
- Profound understanding of excellent storytelling techniques and the use of expressive tools to create cohesive and unforgettable scenes and sequences.
- Strong grasp of acting, including posing and timing.
- Extensive knowledge of cinematography and editing.
- Experience in directing and/or acting.
- Familiarity with working from a screenplay.
- At least 3 years of experience in AAA or AA game development (managing extensive projects from start to end).
- Proactive team player.
- Experience in using game development engines: Unreal (preferred), Unity, Godot, etc.
- Problem-solving in technical contexts.
- Quick adaptation to in-house software.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent command of English
Nice to have:
- Passion for the games.
- Experience with MotionBuilder/Maya.
- Experience in animation work.
