Senior Communications Manager, Global Products, Unity

The opportunity

Unity, the world's leading platform of tools for creators to build and grow real-time games, apps, and experiences across multiple platforms, is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to provide strategic oversight and management of all Integerated Communications activities for products.

You will play a pivotal role in driving integrated communications across the games and industry business. You'll own developing and executing PR strategies and you will lead a team of social media and influencer managers to create programs that enhance Unity's brand awareness, reputation, and market presence. Additionally, you will be a key partner to other stakeholder groups including internal communications, product marketing, content marketing, events and more to support cross-functional marketing campaigns. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, strong writing skills, creativity, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to drive results.

You will own and oversee communications efforts, leveraging your network of media contacts to identify, strategize, and execute PR initiatives and Integrated Communications plans. You will work closely with senior leadership to provide guidance and insight on various strategic thought leadership and PR opportunities. This position requires PR knowledge specifically in the Games and Technology sector, as well as the soft skills needed to create and manage relationships with internal and external partners.

You will report to the Director of Global PR, Product and will partner closely with several internal stakeholders including marketing, content marketing, events, social and community.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and execute integrated communication strategies aligned with Unity's overall business objectives.
• Uncover opportunities to further the brand awareness of Unity and our Games leaders through media opportunities, speaking engagements, and more
• Work as a trusted partner and counselor to various internal groups within the company, strategizing and executing on various speaking opportunities
• Interface with product marketing teams on upcoming campaigns to deliver integrated communications plans to be included in go-to-market plans
• Manage, mentor and coach a team of social media and influencer experts fostering their professional growth and development
• Support crisis communications efforts, including developing messaging, managing media inquiries, and coordinating responses with internal stakeholders.
• Write, edit, and proofread materials, ensuring quality, consistency, and company narratives are woven throughout each piece

What we're looking for

• Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, events, community and social media teams to deliver and execute integrated communications plans.
• Media Relations experience with existing media relationships.
• Interest in games and technology industries.
• A motivated self-starter who is able to roll up their sleeves and work cross-functionally to get the job done.
• Highly organized with the ability to work independently.
• Results securing coverage in top-tier mainstream print, online, and broadcast publications.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
