Job Description

This Senior Data Analyst/Data QA role involves validating data sources, applying transformation logic, and ensuring persistence/validations in target systems for a major food corporation. Responsibilities include working with product managers and developers, developing and executing data-centric test plans, building automation frameworks for data platforms (Azure ecosystem), documenting test cases, coordinating with stakeholders, creating test data, collaborating on test coverage, analyzing server logs and databases, writing data extraction queries, designing and developing test automation frameworks (Python), and developing mocks/stubs. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering with expertise in Data Platform Testing and the Azure cloud ecosystem (Azure storage, Data Bricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Databases).

Must have:

5+ years in Data Platform QE
Strong QA methodologies, tools, processes
Azure ecosystem expertise
SQL, NoSQL, pub-sub knowledge
Develop & execute data test plans
Automation framework development (Python)

Good to have:

Python/Java coding experience
Proficiency in automation tools
Workflow automation platforms

Project description

The project is for one of the biggest food corporations.

Responsibilities

As a Data QE

you will be responsible for validating data sources; application of transformation logic and persistence/validations in the target systems.

Work closely with product managers and developers to understand product requirement and design.

Develop and execute a comprehensive data-centric test plan aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.

Develop a comprehensive automation framework for data platforms covering spectrum of applications onboarded.

Document detailed functional and integration test cases. Coordinate with the developer; product manager and other business stakeholders on test plan; test case review; identify missing and complex test case scenarios.

Create accurate test-data envisioning the operation of the platform and the applications in place

Collaborate with engineers from across the spectrum to ensure test coverage and automation end-to-end.

Analyse server logs; DB and provide other relevant details with a bug.

Writing queries to extract data for Testcase data comparison

Design and Develop test automation framework; Improvise the existing framework to accommodate updates.

Develop mock/stub to test the functionality of a component in isolation.

Skills

Must have

5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering with experience in Data Platform Testing.

Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies; tools; and processes.

Hands-on experience with cloud ecosystem

Azure and it's services like

Azure storage; Data Bricks; Azure Data Factory; Azure SQL Databases and other SQL-based services.

Solid Knowledge of SQL; NoSQL; and pub-sub technologies.

Nice to have

Hands-on coding experience in Python coding/scripting and creating test frameworks using Python. Additional experience in Java.

Proficiency in automation tools; scripting languages; and workflow automation platforms.
