Job Description

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for simplifying existing tools, proposing improvements, working with technical debt, and driving initiatives. You will work closely with a team of Senior Engineers, Product Manager, and Engineering Manager. The project involves working with a European online car market with over 30 million monthly users across 18 countries. Your contributions will shape the future of online car markets and enhance the user experience for millions.

Must have:

5+ years software engineering experience
Expertise in AWS services (Glue, Athena, EMR, EC2, IAM, MWAA)
Proficiency in Python and PySpark
Data platform building experience
Data modeling techniques and best practices
Implementing data contracts
Data governance policies
Data quality frameworks (Great expectations, Soda)
Familiarity with data mesh architecture
Django/Flask experience
English - Upper-Intermediate+
Ukrainian language - Advanced or higher

About the project:

Our customer is the European online car market with over 30 million monthly users, with a market presence in 18 countries. As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of online car markets and enhancing the user experience for millions of car buyers and sellers.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in software engineering.
Expertise in AWS services, especially Glue, Athena, EMR, EC2, IAM, MWAA.
Proficiency in Python and PySpark.
Experience in building data platforms, not just using them.
Proficiency in data modeling techniques and best practices.
Experience in implementing data contracts.
Experience in applying data governance policies.
Experience with data quality frameworks (Great expectations, Soda).
Familiarity with the data mesh architecture and its principles
Django/Flask experience.
English - Upper-Intermediate+
Ukrainian language Advanced or higher.

Responsibilities:
