Job Description

Keywords Studios seeks a detail-oriented Senior GL Accountant to manage general ledger functions, ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP (Italian, Irish, and UK GAAP preferred), and support financial reporting. Responsibilities include daily general ledger operations, monthly/quarterly/annual financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, process improvement recommendations, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and audit support. The role is based in Milan, Italy, and provides key support to group legal entities in Ireland and the UK. This is an individual contributor position with opportunities for global collaboration and career advancement.

Good To Have:

Irish or UK GAAP knowledge
CPA, ACCA, or equivalent

Must Have:

10+ years accounting experience
IFRS & Italian GAAP knowledge
General Ledger management
Financial Reporting
Account Reconciliation
Proficiency in accounting software (Oracle preferred)
Advanced Excel skills
Fluency in English and Italian

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior GL Accountant to join our finance team in Milan. In this role, you will focus on managing general ledger functions, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards, and supporting the financial reporting process. This is an individual contributor role with opportunities to collaborate globally and advance your expertise.

The role will be a key support to Group legal entities in Irland and UK, however based in Milan.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely postings, reconciliations, and closings.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP and participate to the preparation of reporting pack for Corporate reporting
Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal company policies.
Reconciliations: Conduct reconciliations of accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain the integrity of financial records.
Process Improvement: Recommend and implement enhancements to accounting systems and procedures.
Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Audit Support: Assist in audits by preparing documentation and addressing queries from auditors.
