Barbaricum is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operations Support  for the National Geospatial- Intelligence Agency (NGA ARCHES) Program. The Senior Operations Support is a critical role within the NGA ARCHES Program, this role serves as Operations Support subject matter expert and technical advisor responsible for managing the daily op

Responsibilities

    • Provides strategic advice and recommendations to leadership on new or modified operating policies, practices, and procedures
    • Supports fielding and sustainment of operational hardware.
    • Supports PMO asset management through resource documentation and site inspections.
    • Coordinates maintenance repairs and manages other aspects of the physical property or equipment
    • Collaborate with staff members across the Platform Engineering Division and vendors to ensure successful operations of the NGA Maven applications and services
    • Coordinate with the Product Management staff to document quarterly and annual goals for the NGA Maven IT infrastructure
    • Coordinate with CIO-T to resolve issues with the NGA Maven operational infrastructure.
    • Support COR coordination efforts with vendors to ensure proper cloud computing, security, networking, storage and database management services are implemented as directed by the COR and PMO engineering lead.

Qualifications

    • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and 4 years of work experience in the systems engineering career field or 3 years of comparable experience supporting fielding and sustainment of operational hardware.
    • Experience with using and/or managing a cloud computing environment (commercial or government)
    • Broad understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts
    • Ability to communicate with external and internal stakeholders and able to succeed in a fast-paced environment
    • Support updates to leadership and senior leaders on operational issues.
    • Demonstrated experience working on or with major defense acquisitions or large R&D programs
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
