Job Description

The Senior Search Specialist at Google's gTech Ads Solutions team serves as a trusted advisor to key Google Ads clients. Responsibilities include optimizing media plans, driving results through Google Ads, collaborating with vendors and sales teams for client growth, acting as a Search product expert, advocating for new product features, providing technical guidance, and measuring the value of Google Ads solutions. The role requires strong client relationship management, digital marketing expertise, and data analysis skills to deliver tailored solutions and enhance clients' digital maturity in Search. This involves working cross-functionally with multiple teams, understanding technical concepts, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years digital media/marketing experience
  • 4+ years client-facing experience
  • Experience in marketing measurement (incrementality testing, media mix modeling, attribution analysis)
  • Excellent business communication and relationship building skills
Good to have:
  • 5+ years experience in internet products and technologies
  • Data analysis expertise, ability to interpret complex datasets
  • Knowledge of search products, performance advertising market
  • Aptitude for technical design and project management skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience working with digital media or digital marketing/advertising solutions, implementing and measuring digital advertising campaigns, and providing client solutions.
  • 4 years of experience in a client-facing role working with partners across multiple levels.
  • Experience in marketing measurement, including incrementality testing, media mix modeling, and attribution analysis.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in Internet products and technologies, with excellent business communication skills.
  • Experience in data analysis, with ability to interpret complex datasets, identify trends, and translate findings into compelling narratives.
  • Knowledge of search products, the performance advertising market, or online ads landscape.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders, with excellent relationship building, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts quickly and learn when it is appropriate to apply them, with an aptitude for technical design.
  • Effective project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple, simultaneous solutions, supported by internal teams.

The gTech Ads Solutions team partners with the Large Customer Sales (LCS) team to provide product and data driven expertise to empower our largest and most sophisticated customers meet their advertising goals. The team enjoys a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms and are uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to key Google Ads clients, using digital marketing and tech solutions to address challenges, optimize media plans, and drive results.
  • Build relationships with advertisers to drive outcomes through Google Ads, supporting the business life cycle from planning to optimization, and boosting adoption and growth.
  • Collaborate with vendors and Sales teams to drive client growth, applying market and competitive insights to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Serve as the customer’s Search product expert, delivering consultative digital marketing solutions that solve challenges and enhance their digital maturity in Search.
  • Advocate for new product features, supporting customer adoption through setup, upgrades, and migrations to drive long-term success with Google Ads. Provide technical guidance and ensure proper infrastructure and data integration. Measure, analyze, and promote the value of Google Ads solutions compared to competitors.
