Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. The Document AI team solves the problems in document parsing and enrichment issues. Multi-modal and text Large Language Models (LLMs) are transforming the industry, and enabling unheard of accuracy across many applications. We focus on leveraging the best of traditional techniques and LLMs to understand the deep structure and content of documents, improvements to document understanding and uplift the entire product quality of many downstream applications including search, chat, analytics, and document processing. You will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in software development
  • 7 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture
  • 5 years of experience with testing/launching software products
Good to have:
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects

Minimum qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g. TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning or natural language
    processing.
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture, and testing/launching software products.

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
