Mattel seeks a Shunter/Tow Motor Operator to manage the movement of 53' trailers using a shunt tractor. Responsibilities include repositioning trailers for inbound and outbound needs, supplementing shipping, receiving, and picking tasks when not shunting, maintaining yard capacity, and operating a tow motor with fork and/or clamp attachments. The role requires Grade 12 education, English literacy, basic AS400 skills, mathematical abilities, strong organizational and communication skills, a valid forklift/clamp truck permit, and yard shunting experience (on-site training provided).

Job Description

The Opportunity: 

We are hiring a Shunter/Tow Motor Operator with the responsibilities below:

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Experience with Shunt Tractor and movement of 53’ foot trailers (Training to be provided)
  • Repositioning trailers for both inbound and outbound needs
  • Supplementing Shipping, Receiving and Picking activities where/when shunting is not required.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain yard capacity
  • Familiarity with all warehouse departments an asset
  • Ability to operate a Tow Motor with fork and/or clamp attachments
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Grade 12 Education
  • The ability to read and write English
  • Basic AS400 skills
  • The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Works well with others
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Organized
  • Valid Fork/Clamp truck operators permit
  • Yard Shunting Experience (Mattel specific training to be provided)
