The Software Engineer will analyze, maintain, and develop business systems to support Havas Edge business objectives. Responsibilities include contributing to scalable applications, designing high-performance applications using Microsoft Frameworks, and communicating effectively within the team. The role involves participating in meetings and proposing technical ideas. The engineer will work on maintenance tasks as well as new development projects, collaborating with other engineers and reporting to the Software Engineering Manager.
Must have:
  • 3-4 years experience with C# and SQL Server.
  • Knowledgeable in software development cycle.
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable code.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Manage multiple projects efficiently and on time.
Good to have:
  • Experience with Web and Digital marketing data.
  • Working knowledge of the media/digital media industry.
  • Experience with DevExpress controls and Blazor.
  • .NET Remoting SSIS ETL is a huge plus.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing (AWS/Azure).

Agency : Havas Creative Job Description : The Software Engineer is responsible for analyzing, maintaining, and developing business systems for both new and existing systems used to support Havas Edge business objectives and goals. Your time will be spent working on maintenance tasks as well as new development projects that are delivered by the ERP Systems team. You will work alongside other engineers and developers and will report to the Software Engineering Manager. Technology includes C#, Blazor, MS-SQL / T-SQL, .NET Framework 4.X, .NET Remoting, SSIS, MS Unit testing. Development Tools: Visual Studio 2019, DevExpress controls, Active Reports (GrapeCity) Job Functions and Duties:
  • Analyze, maintain, and develop business systems; including migrating new and existing related systems used to support business goals

  • Contribute to the creation of scalable and highly available internal business applications

  • Design and develop high-volume, high-performance, high-availability, concurrent applications using proven Microsoft Frameworks and technologies

  • Effectively communicate within and outside the team

  • Bring new technical ideas, in keeping with the latest industry trends, to fruition by prototyping and then incorporating into the Platform

  • Participate in all required meetings, stand-ups, and planning

Position Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience working with C# / .NET 4.X and SQL Server

  • You are experienced and knowledgeable in all phases of the software development cycle: requirements analysis, functional design, technical design, implementation, documentation, software QA, maintenance, and support

  • You can write clean, simple, efficient, modular, maintainable, and well-documented code that meets the requirements and the design of the solution

  • You have a solid understanding of object-oriented programming

  • You have a desire to contribute to an agile team that solves complex challenges and builds working software by participating in design and architectural discussions, proposing, and discussing solutions to systems and product changes that are directly related to the area of focus

  • You can work collaboratively with QA professionals to encourage defect prevention over detection

  • You can manage multiple projects simultaneously and have a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects efficiently and on time

  • You work well under pressure, while maintaining accuracy, strict confidentiality, and a professional demeanor

  • You are approachable and can interact with people at all levels of the organization (internal and external stakeholders) and fostering strong cross-functional teamwork with other analysts and developers

  • You have strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

  • You are self-motivated and self-aware; inquisitive, proactive & strong initiative

  • You have a high level of attention to detail and organization

Intermediate knowledge around the following:
  • MS-SQL / T-SQL
  • WinForms (Windows Applications)
  • Visual Studio 2019+
  • Team Foundation Server / GIT
  • Internet Information Services
  • Agile / Scrum – Kanban

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field of study

  • Experience with Web and Digital marketing data

  • You have working knowledge and an understanding of the media/digital media industry

  • Knowledge and experience of the following preferred:

  • DevExpress controls

  • Blazor

  • .NET Remoting SSIS ETL is huge plus

  • Java

  • DBA experience or knowledge of 3rd party controls

  • Cloud Computing (AWS / Azure)

  • Athena, S3, Hadoop and/or other big data technologies

  • RESTful APIs

  • Power BI Embedded
