Job Description

Appier seeks a Frontend Development Intern to contribute to various software projects, impacting product innovation and development. Responsibilities include designing and developing interactive UI components using modern web technologies, improving product quality through test automation, resolving product issues, and participating in brainstorming sessions for technological and product advancements. The internship requires a commitment of 2-3 days a week for at least 6 months, starting immediately. The ideal candidate possesses strong JavaScript, CSS, and DOM API knowledge, alongside familiarity with Git and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

About the role

Frontend Development Internship at Appier works on a wide range of software projects that may extend solution innovation, influence product development lifecycle and contribute directly into Appier’s product lines.

We are seeking potential candidates who can commit to 2-3 days a week and participate in the internship for a minimum of 6 months, starting immediately. Please ensure that you have checked your availability before applying.

Responsibilities

Design and develop interactive UI components with modern web frontend technology
Improve product quality with test automation and tooling
Investigate and resolve product issues
Participate in idea brainstorming and contribute to technology, algorithm, and product innovations

About you

[Minimum qualifications]

Working toward a computer science or related technical degree
Good knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and DOM APIs
Familiar with Git, or other version control systems
Team player and able to work independently
Proactive, good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Loves trying out new technologies and sharing with team what problems do the new technologies address. All kinds of "new technologies" is welcomed, from FP-like languages (e.g. ReasonML, PureScript, Elm), CSS-in-JS or utility-first CSS, data-loading mechanisms (e.g. Relay, Apollo), to experience sharing on using certain components, or webpack plugins / linter configs / codemods / boilerplates that improves developer experience (DX)
