In this role, you’ll be a key player in the final stages of asset creation, ensuring that all art, characters, environments, UI, and more are polished, optimized, and ready to ship. You’ll work closely with art, design, and engineering teams to maintain the charming, kid-friendly look and feel that defines our games.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, refine, and optimize final in-game art assets (characters, backgrounds, props, UI elements, VFX).
  • Work with Art Director on implementation into game engine, maintaining asset organization, naming conventions, and consistency across the project.
  • Polish and adjust art assets for maximum visual appeal, clarity, and performance on mobile devices.
  • Collaborate with 2D and 3D artists, animators, designers, and engineers to ensure visual assets meet technical and creative requirements.
  • Create final texture atlases, sprite sheets, and asset bundles as needed.
  • Provide feedback and mentorship to junior production artists when needed.
  • Proactively flag potential issues (e.g., memory, performance, scalability) and suggest solutions.
  • Help maintain and improve art production pipelines and best practices.
  • Contribute ideas to make our kids' games even more magical, colorful, and engaging!

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional experience as a Production Artist, preferably in mobile games.

  • Experience preparing 2D and/or 3D assets for mobile games.
  • Solid understanding of asset optimization techniques for mobile platforms (compression, batching, etc.).
  • High attention to detail, with a passion for quality and polish.
  • Familiarity with mobile game performance requirements and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage large volumes of assets.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • A portfolio demonstrating clean, polished asset production work (bonus if kid-friendly or colorful!).
  • Passion for creating games that are fun, safe, and delightful for young audiences.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working specifically on kids’ or educational games.
  • Experience with Figma, Adobe XD, other UX/UI tools.
  • Light 3D knowledge (basic modeling, UV mapping, or texturing).
  • Experience with Spine, After Effects, or other animation tools.
  • Implementation of art into the game engine (primarily Unity).
  • Familiarity with Asana or other production tracking tools.
  • Basic understanding of UI/UX best practices for young players.
