Job Description

The Sr Sales Engineer in Korea will be a critical component of the regional sales team, driving technical sales activities for new and existing opportunities in enterprise accounts. This role involves providing pre-sales technical support for Gigamon products, delivering technical presentations, designing network and security monitoring architectures, and managing customer relationships. The Sales Engineer will also be responsible for proof of concepts and product evaluations, providing mentorship, and communicating customer feedback to the company. This role requires someone who is self-motivated, an intuitive thinker, passionate for knowledge, and comfortable with technical and business English. Travel within the territory and to Gigamon HQ in Santa Clara, California, is required.
Must have:
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Pre-Sales Engineer role
  • Expertise in virtualization technologies and Linux environments
  • Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Effective technical presentation skills

We are seeking a Sr Sales Engineer in Korea to support our Enterprise Sales team. The sales engineer is a critical component of the regional sales team. The primary responsibility is to drive technical sales activities for new and existing opportunities in enterprise accounts. A Sales Engineer will have in-depth, hands-on experience with products and services, as well as competitor's products and services, and can demonstrate solid networking and security skills to customers and partners.
 
What you’ll do:

• Provide technical pre-sales support for all Gigamon products and solutions.
• Perform a high-level specialized systems engineering role as an individual contributor specializing in pre-sales activities
• Deliver in-depth, technical presentations for customers, partners, and events.
• Design network and security monitoring architectures based on Gigamon’s portfolio.
• Responsible for all customer proof of concepts and product evaluations from deployment to completion.
• Provides mentorship/guidance on Technology and competitive trends to clients, partners, and employees.
• Manage partner and end-user technical relationships.
• Communicate customer feedback to corporate.
• Build relationships with partners and distribution

What you’ve done:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical area (Computer Science, Computer Engineering); or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in a Pre-Sales Engineer role in security, cloud, or networking.
• Expertise in virtualization technologies (VMWare, OpenStack/KVM) and Linux environments, alongside cloud platforms (public and private), including AWS, Azure, and container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.

Who you are:

• Effective technical presentation skills.
• Must be self-motivated, intuitive thinker, passionate for knowledge, autonomous worker, highly resourceful individual
• Comfortable with technical and business English usage (document reading, e-mails, conference calls).
• Travel 50% of time within the territory account sites and Gigamon HQ in Santa Clara, California; Exposure to global Gigamon locations is a possibility!
