DAZN seeks a Sr. Software Architect - Android to design and architect mobile solutions for its global sports streaming platform. This role requires 6+ years of architecture experience and 14+ years of overall IT experience. Responsibilities include designing enterprise mobility architecture, integrating with web services and external APIs, and leveraging Android and Android TV platforms. Experience with live streaming, broadcast systems, and relevant libraries is crucial. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in Java, JavaScript, or Python and a deep understanding of design patterns (MVC, MVVM), SOA, REST/JSON, and SOAP/XML. They will contribute to a cutting-edge technology stack, impacting millions of users.
Must have:
- Strong Android/Android TV development experience
- 6+ years architecture experience, 14+ years overall IT experience
- Experience with web services, mobile apps, and external APIs
- Enterprise architecture integration design and implementation
- Knowledge of design patterns (MVC, MVVM), SOA, REST/JSON, SOAP/XML
Good to have:
- AWS skills (Lambdas, Aurora, SQS etc)
- Knowledge of broadcast systems and digital video
- Knowledge of data/metadata supply chains
- Agile environment experience
- Experience with event-driven systems, microservices

You'll be setup for success if you have:
- Strong technical experience, e.g., software development background in something like Java, JavaScript, Python etc
- Hands on Experience in designing & architecting/developing mobile solutions (native/hybrid/web) in leading mobile platforms especially Android and Android / Android TV
- 6+ years’ experience in architecture or a closely related area. e.g., PE type role with a strong solution architecture aspect, with overall IT experience of 14 + Years
- Experienced with web-services/ mobile apps and external APIs
- Experience with Enterprise architecture integrations design and implementation perspectives
- Ability to Design Enterprise Mobility Architecture
- Good understanding of Industry standard design patterns such as MVC, MVVM etc. and good knowledge on SOA, REST/JSON and SOAP/XML
- Android / Android TV / Player Experience
- Good Knowledge on TV Libraries - androidx libraries available for TV devices that provide widgets for building user interfaces.
- Experience in Live streaming/Broadcast
Even better if you have:
- AWS skills (Lambdas, Aurora, SQS etc)
- Knowledge of broadcast systems and digital video
- Knowledge of data/metadata supply chains
- Worked in agile environments
- Experience in event-driven systems, workflows, microservices
- Experience in a large company or at least on systems with challenging performance and resilience requirements
