Our team creates world-class immersive digital experiences for the Company’s premier vacation brands including Disney’s Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, and Disney Vacation Club. We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!

This role sits in the Disney Signature Experiences organization within Technology & Digital for Disney Experiences. It works closely with Cast and Crew from across the company. 

About The Role & Team:

  • The DSE Systems Engineering Team supports Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club and other areas of Disney Signature Experiences.  This team provides 24x7 engineering and operational support for shipboard, on-premise and cloud based technologies.    

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain Helm Charts and deployment requirements for Kubernetes (Rancher)
  • Ensure SSL Certificates across multiple domains are renewed timely without outages
  • Complete Akamai CDN implementations and updates
  • Diagnose and repair system outages
  • Triage and remediate security requirements across cloud and on-premises systems
  • Develop and maintain engineering and architectural standards for on premise/hybrid compute, storage and data protections services
  • Provide system reports on both a regular and ad-hoc basis.
  • Assist in creation and documentation of day-to-day operational procedures.

Required Qualifications(Must Have experience):

Systems Engineer for Seaware. Upgrade and automation needs continue to take priority, must have this experience.
  • Carries and maintains a relevant and up to date skill set in the areas of Linux, Windows, VMware, clustering technologies, resilient infrastructure design and deployment and automation.
  • Individual must be highly resourceful and independent with the ability to quickly learn multiple disciplines and achieve manufacturer certification levels
  • Ability to describe and differentiate the features, benefits and disadvantages of competing virtualization and cloud platforms
  • Proven experience in overseeing the design, development and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products.
  • Improve automation and productivity of provisioning and maintenance through scripting enhancements
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in multiple Public Cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud Services, Azure and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Rancher Kubernetes Containerization Experience
  • Akamai (CDN)
  • Containerization Experience (Docker or Kubernetes)
  • AVI Load balance Experience
  • Global On-Call Experience Enterprise Support

Required Education: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience 
  • 5+ Years of relevant experience
