Job Description

The primary duties include understanding feature requirements, preparing test strategies, developing automation scripts using Python, and contributing to an Agile team to achieve quality goals. Responsibilities include reviewing product documentation, troubleshooting field escalations, learning from customer bugs, creating and managing bugs, and leading test projects. Candidates should have experience in creating, implementing, and reviewing test cases, and be familiar with networking protocols and security concepts. Strong communication skills are essential, as is experience with bug tracking and test case management tools.

Must have:

6+ years of QA testing experience.
Experience in creating and implementing test cases.
Hands-on experience automating using Python.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP and L2/L3 protocols.
Experience with bug tracking systems like Bugzilla or Jira.

Good to have:

Knowledge of and/or experience with security and Mobility.
Scripting experience with TCL, Perl, or Expect.
Experience with network testing equipment.

Job Details

Description

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

Understanding the feature requirement and preparing the test strategy document.
Preparing the test plan based on the feature requirements.
Develop automation scripts for the feature.
Part of the Agile team and help the team to meet the quality goals.
Review product documentation and provide feedback to Technical Publications
Field escalations; working with support and development in troubleshooting and reproducing field reported escalation issues
Learn from customer bugs and fill test coverage gaps.
Bug creation, reproductions, and daily management
Test project lead on occasion

Requirements:

6+ years of hands-on QA testing experience including:
Creating, implementing and reviewing manual/automated test cases and test suites
Good hands-on experience in automating using python.
Experience with test case management tools such as Mercury Center, TestLink, etc….
Working knowledge in TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, L4 – L7 protocols
Knowledge of and/or experience with security and Mobility a plus
Strong network configuration and troubleshooting skills
Must be familiar with packet capture tools such as Wireshark, SnifferProand are able to read/understand the capture
Scripting experience a plus; Python (Mandatory), TCL, Perl, Expect,
Experience with network testing equipment such as IXIA and Spirent
Experience with bug tracking systems such as; Bugzilla, Jira, etc…
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Project/Test lead experience a plus
Mentor junior QA engineers in the QA process and technology
