A Technical Product Owner is expected to lead across multiple cross-functional teams to drive initiatives related to new product development.  As a Technical Product Owner, you will work closely with our technology leaders, development teams, Product Managers and other Technical Product Owners to drive development efforts for key initiatives involving our panel data sources and related architectures.  

Responsibilities

    • Work directly with application development teams to drive requirements and build user stories in agile development
    • Facilitate agile ceremonies (Standups, Sprint Planning, Retrospective, Demos, Backlog Grooming)
    • Rally associates from Development, Operations, Engineering, and Data Science groups to deliver various projects related to product development and research
    • Organize and facilitate planning sessions across Technology, Operations, Engineering, and Data Science
    • Change Control - Prepare release approvals and align with key stakeholders
    • Release Management - Document and communicate release notes and coordinate review of metrics during deployments
    • Ensure alignment on scope across all stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of product development
    • Accountability for communicating overall status of initiatives and escalation of issues to senior leadership
    • Ensure Operations understands the impact of planned changes and how it affects their respective business unit
    • Ensure measures are taken in projects to increase quality and mitigate risk, including risk analysis, impact assessment, and needs assessment, staffing and workload balancing, test planning and execution, contingency and deployment plans

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in business, systems analysis, or computer science preferred
    • Capable of leading and facilitating meetings and of turning documentation into a compelling and persuasive presentation
    • Proven years of experience in a dynamic business environment with most experience in technology-focused roles
    • Knowledge of Agile development practices 
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing initiatives
    • Ability to translate between technology and operational needs
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective relationships with other stakeholders 
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment 
    • A bias for change and the ability to influence a team toward a culture of quality
    • Able to listen and quickly distill a situation to recommend a course of action in driving project deliverables
