As a Technical Program Manager, Data Discovery and Protection at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, manage risks, and schedules, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. You'll present analyses and recommendations to executives and discuss technical trade-offs with engineers. Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years software development experience
  • Lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects
  • Manage high-complexity, high-risk projects
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of software development life-cycle challenges
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills (executive and technical)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in software development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of technical and process challenges associated with the software development life-cycle.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in an ambiguous operations environment, as well as deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-functional or cross-pillar projects together with local engineer leaders and Technical Program Manager (TPM) partners.
  • Manage projects of high complexity, high risk, and scope and critical customer landscape.
  • Foster partnerships with leadership, engineering, and product managers to ensure initiatives align with overall engineering and product priorities.
  • Communicate program status to various audiences, including cross-functional and executive leadership.
  • Introduce continuous improvement processes.
