Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager II, Security, CISO at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary security projects. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners. Responsibilities include analyzing data to identify high-impact programs to reduce vulnerabilities, surfacing recommendations for security improvements, quantifying security risks, driving data-driven strategies, and improving communication across teams and stakeholders. The role involves working across multiple security domains, including security reviews, education, web application testing, vulnerability research, and data analysis to mitigate risks within Google Cloud. The ideal candidate has experience in information security, risk management, and managing cross-functional projects, along with strong communication skills.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2+ years project management experience
Information security/risk management experience
Cross-functional project management
Data analysis and risk quantification
Excellent communication skills

Good to have:

Cloud engineering experience
Infrastructure systems experience
Security assessments expertise
Threat modeling and risk assessment knowledge
Engineering project experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience managing projects.
Experience in information security and/or risk management.

Preferred qualifications:

2 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Engineering project experience, including cross-functional collaboration to achieve common goals.
Experience with cloud engineering practices.
Experience with Infrastructure systems, security assessments, and security processes.
Understanding of threat modeling, risk assessments and/or security assessments of systems.
Effective communication skills.

You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Security Program Manager for Cloud Chief Information Security Office (CISO), You will have the opportunity to help set the direction for security in Google Cloud and partner with amazing existing teams across Google. These include existing security teams, privacy teams, and engineering teams. You'll help set the focus, direction, and impact of this organization with regards to product security. There is an exciting mix of work to be accomplished across multiple security domains. A few examples are: security reviews, security education, web application scanning and testing, vulnerability research and security data analysis all with the goal of highlighting and driving down risk.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Analyze data to surface high impact programs to reduce security vulnerabilities.
Surface recommendations for security improvement across multiple domains.
Quantify security risks though out Google Cloud. Identify recurring themes and suggest improvements.
Drive a data driven strategy mindset in the organization. Drive the programs identified to reduce risk.
Bring visibility and strengthen communication across teams, to executives, and also other key stakeholders.
