Job Description
Titmouse's Artistic Mentorship Program offers promising storyboarding talent an invaluable opportunity to gain practical experience in the animation industry. Mentees will receive weekly or bi-weekly practice assignments, using professional materials and prompts, and benefit from critiques by experienced artists, directors, and supervisors. The program includes observing live production meetings, one-on-one sessions with Titmouse employees, weekly panels and workshops, and the chance to build a professional network. The program runs from February 3rd to April 11th, 2025, requiring a commitment of 1-2 days per week in their Burbank, Hollywood, or New York offices. This unpaid program is for academic credit only from an accredited college or university and is ideal for artists aiming to break into the animation industry.

Job Details
Titmouse may be able to provide an artistic mentorship to promising new talent interested in storyboarding in animation. Mentees will be given practice assignments with professional materials and mentored by working professionals to create industry standard work for their portfolio. Mentees will not be creating any work for live productions.
Format: In-Person/Hybrid (Burbank, Hollywood, and NY)
Timeline: February 3rd - April 11th, 2025
Track: Storyboarding
This is an unpaid program, for academic credit from an accredited college or university only. Applicants do not need to be a full-time student.
Mentees are expected to come into the office 2 days a week, depending on the availability of the mentor. The program is a maximum of 216 hours over the course of 10 weeks.
Deadline to Apply: December 8th, 2024 (Sunday, 11:59pm PT )
REQUIREMENTS
- Familiar with the animation process (either through school, personal projects or previous experience).
- Show an interest in the following career track: storyboarding.
- Must not currently be working full-time in the animation industry. This program is designed for artists looking to break into the animation industry.
- Must be able to commit to coming into the office at least 1 - 2 full days a week.
THE EXPERIENCE
- Mentees will receive practice art assignments using professional materials and prompts on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
- Practice art assignments will be reviewed and critiqued by artists, directors and/or supervisors to learn what areas need to be improved.
- Mentees will have the opportunity to shadow meetings of live productions to see how creative leadership reviews work.
- One on one meetings with various Titmouse employees to ask industry questions and build a network.
- Weekly panels, chats, or workshops with Titmouse employees.
