Description

SSI is seeking a Graphics Design specialist with expertise in virtual reality and 3D modeling tools to support a Navy program in San Diego, CA. The candidate will provide support to an AR/VR architecture project for a Navy client with multimedia and Computer Aided Design (CAD) development to include 3D concept visualization.

Partial Hybrid/Telework Role, Must be in San Diego and available for onsite work as needed

Requirements

Must have active Secret Clearance or be eligible to obtain

2 – 4 years of relevant experience with 3D modeling tools and software, including but not limited to Blender and or Maya.

Understanding of rendering, texturing, shaders, lighting, and animation principles.

Ability to create materials and optimized surface shaders.

Experience with virtual reality and/or augmented reality hardware (Meta Quest, Hololens).

Experience with data collection i.e. photogrammetry software, photography, 3D scanning.

Proven experience creating digital twins of real-world objects and spaces for use in gaming applications.

Unity game development knowledge of interfaces, tools, and capabilities is a plus.

Ability to utilize 3D modeling, texture, mapping, and other techniques to create game assets, visual effects, and animations that are optimized for Unity game engine or equivalent.
