Job Description
The Accessibility Analyst, Chrome Accessibility, Early Career role involves ensuring Chrome's accessibility across all platforms. Responsibilities include performing accessibility design and launch reviews, consulting with feature teams, conducting audits for accessibility issues, triaging and prioritizing issues, and testing new accessibility features. The ideal candidate will possess experience in accessibility testing, familiarity with assistive technologies (screen readers, switch access, magnification), and proficiency with accessibility checking tools. A deep understanding of web accessibility principles (WCAG, Section 508, EN 301 549) and ability to debug accessibility issues using HTML, CSS, and ARIA are crucial. The role requires collaboration with development teams to improve the accessibility of Chrome features.
Must have:
- 1+ year accessibility testing experience
- Assistive technology & checking tool experience
- Understanding of WCAG, Section 508, EN 301 549
- HTML, CSS, ARIA knowledge for debugging
- Perform accessibility reviews and audits
Good to have:
- Experience developing accessible digital products
- Familiarity with various disabilities and their impact
- Experience with diverse assistive technologies (desktop/mobile)

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience in accessibility testing.
- Experience with assistive technology (e.g., screen readers, switch access, magnification), and with accessibility checking tools (e.g., Accessibility Scanner, Lighthouse).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience developing digital products that comply with accessibility standards.
- Experience using various assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, magnifiers) on both desktop and mobile devices.
- Familiarity with a wide range of disabilities and how they impact users' interactions with digital content.
- Knowledge of web accessibility principles and an understanding of relevant laws and standards, including WCAG, Section 508, and EN 301 549.
- Knowledge of digital accessibility and disability best practices.
- Ability to effectively identify and debug accessibility issues within web pages using HTML, CSS, and ARIA.

- Consult with feature teams who are working on ensuring their features are accessible.
- Perform audits of Chrome across platforms for accessibility issues.
- Triage accessibility issues and plan their priority.
- Test new user-facing accessibility features and ensure they're polished.
