The Account Executive will be responsible for achieving sales and order financial plan performance within the two-way radio business, primarily through indirect channel partners. The role involves recruiting and managing channel partners, developing business plans, and driving Motorola Solutions initiatives. Key responsibilities include new account acquisition, strategic account management, and collaboration with internal teams. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of sales, communication technologies, and experience in channel sales. The candidate must reside in CDMX, Bogota, Santiago, Sao Paolo or Lima.
Must have:
  • Acquire new accounts through cold-calling and negotiation.
  • Develop and execute account strategies for key accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive acquisitions.
  • Deep understanding of communications sales to commercial accounts.
  • Strong understanding of distribution channels and reseller ecosystems.
  • Ability to build relationships with C-level executives.
  • Effective written, oral, and presentation skills.

Job Description

Individual will be responsible for achieving both sales and order financial plan performance for both the buy/sell and manufacture representative sleeves of the two-way radio business by leveraging the indirect channel partner ego- system.

Responsible for the overall make-up of the channel which includes but not limited to: recruitment of new partners and/or modifying existing channel partners territories, cancellation of under performing channel partners, training and mentoring of channel partner’s sales/support resources.

Establish strong business relationships with channel partners. Develop business and marketing plans to insure growth of the channel partners and the channel as a whole. Drive key Motorola Solutions initiatives through the channel while conducting formal business reviews and on a quarterly basis, present a formal territory business review to peers and channel management.


Basic Requirements

The key candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Business Development: This is first and foremost a hunter role. The primary focus is new account acquisition which includes but is not limited to cold-calling, securing pilots, contract negotiation and closure.

  • Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute overall account strategy for key accounts, aligning with the Customer Success team for day to day account management

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including presales engineers, marketing, product management, sales operations, and order/credit management, as well as channel teams and partners to drive new account acquisitions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sales Savvy: Deep understanding of communications and technology sales to commercial accounts, including procurement processes and competitive landscapes.

  • Channel Expertise: Strong understanding of distribution channels, reseller ecosystems, and indirect sales models as well as Direct Sales experience.

  • Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives, distributors, and partners.

  • Communication: Highly effective written, oral, and presentation skills.

  • Analytical Acumen: Strong organizational and analytical skills to drive data-driven decision-making.

  • Adaptability: Quick learner with the ability to understand and articulate the value of new products and solutions.

  • Forecasting & Pipeline Management: Provide accurate sales forecasts on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Monitor and maintain a healthy pipeline to ensure predictable and sustainable growth.

  • Customer Engagement: Working closely with key decision-makers in customer organizations, as well as conducting joint sales calls with resellers and distributors to drive end-user demand.

  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about competitive dynamics and emerging technology trends that could impact Motorola Solutions.

  • CRM Excellence: Ensure accurate and up-to-date customer intelligence and reporting within Motorola’s CRM system.

  • Revenue Target Execution: Leverage promotions, incentives, and marketing programs to achieve quarterly revenue targets while driving customer adoption of Motorola Solutions’ portfolio.

Candidates must have the ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in different regions. They must reside in CDMX, Bogota, Santiago, São Paolo or Lima.
