Job Description

This role is for a Senior Android Platform Architect, working remotely from India. The primary responsibility is integrating a Valeo-developed AR game into a third-party IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) platform. This involves investigating and solving complex problems, proposing innovative solutions, and collaborating with various stakeholders. The candidate will contribute to a collaborative work environment, focusing on long-term goals, and actively seeking improvements within the team. Responsibilities include software development, Android system architecture understanding, Android development for mobile or other devices (OS Porting/Bring-Up), and leveraging Android SDK, NDK, JNI, and HIDL. Experience with Android Application Framework and Design Patterns (MVP, MVVM) and Android Automotive is essential.

Must have:

SW development background
Solid understanding of Android System Architecture
Embedded Android development (Native and Java)
Experience in Android development projects
Android SDK, NDK, JNI, HIDL knowledge
Understanding of Android Application Framework
Android Automotive Experience
Excellent Communication skills

Good to have:

Unity know-how
C# knowledge

Integration of Valeo developed AR game into the IVI platform supplied by 3rd party

Responsibilities

Contributes to a work environment where people are actively sharing and discussing various ideas.

Investigates and solves complicated problems which requires comprehensive analysis.

Proposes solutions that require Innovation/Development of new procedures, techniques and methods.

Collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders on different levels.

Actively seeks improvements and acts pro-actively to help the team in its everyday work.

Skills

Must have

SW development background and years of first-hand experience .

Very solid understanding of Android System Architecture.

Knowledge of Android procedures

Multiple years of experience in embedded Android development (Native and Java)

Experience in Android development projects for mobile or other devices (OS Porting/Bring-Up)

Experience of Android SDK, NDK, JNI, HIDL.

Understanding of Android Application Framework and Design Patterns (MVP, MVVM).

Android Automotive Experience

Ability to work independently. Excellent Communication skills & Fluent in English.

Knowledge of Software Planning Methods and the ability to use them effectively.

Can lead a small team

Proven experience of Jira, Gerrit and Android Studio usage

Nice to have

Unity know how would be a plus

C# knowledge would be a plus
