We're looking for an experienced Architect to join our ZPA Control Plane team reporting to the VPE. You will balance advising VPs and SVPs, providing product wide architectural guidance, and making impactful changes. This is a hybrid role, reporting in to the San Jose office 3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Be the direct technical leader on the most critical and complex projects and issues
- Set the technical direction of the entire ZPA Control Plane and influence the team to raise the standards in reliability, performance, scalability, architecture, security and engineering best practices.
- Become a subject matter expert on all of ZPA architecture and behavior, including all aspects of software delivery as a hands-on engineer, building and operating high scale systems.
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 10+ years of experience designing and building large-scale systems in a distributed and enterprise-scale environment
- Experience being oncall and dealing with cloud incidents and writing RCAs
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure services on AWS/Azure/GCP
- Experiences building reliable and extensible data tiers for large-scale web services (Postgres and Redis)
- Bachelor's Degree/or Masters Degree in computer science or equivalent experience
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience building full CI/CD systems leveraging Kubernetes
- Experience building web service frameworks
- Experience with identity and access management systems like Okta, SAML protocols, and security services Knowledge of OAuth

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
