Job Description

The gReach Program is a 12-month paid upskilling program for industry professionals with disabilities. As an Associate Customer Engineer, you will receive on-the-job training and work on various projects, assisting local teams in resolving key technical challenges. Responsibilities include identifying technical requirements, conducting technical discovery, proposing client solutions, contributing to technical projects (including technology advocacy and proof-of-concept work), and coordinating with supporting technical resources. The program aims to provide participants from underrepresented groups with career growth opportunities within Google Cloud. This role requires effective communication in Japanese.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Stakeholder engagement experience
Japanese language proficiency
Technical problem-solving skills
Solution proposal and presentation skills

Good to have:

Cloud/on-premise engineering experience
Virtualization/containerization experience
Technical stakeholder/executive presentation experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working in roles which engage with internal or external stakeholders.
Ability to communicate in Japanese to effectively communicate with Japanese speaking stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Responsibilities

Assist local teams in resolving key technical challenges.
Identify technical requirements, conduct technical discovery, and propose client solutions that meet these requirements.
Contribute to technical projects, including technology advocacy, product and solution briefings, and proof-of-concept work. Coordinate with supporting technical resources as needed.
