About the Role
As the Director of Sales, you are responsible for driving and managing the growth of all Digital first business opportunities in the North American region. As a player-coach, you will lead a team of Sales professionals and work closely with various departments to develop and execute strategies that drive revenue and market share expansion. This role requires a strong understanding of the industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a track record of successfully acquiring new customers.

What will you do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive new business growth within the North American region.
- Lead and manage a team of sales professionals as a player-coach, providing guidance and support to achieve sales targets and objectives.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, customer segments, and strategic partnerships to expand the company's footprint.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential customers, partners, and industry influencers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure successful execution of business development initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market data, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans accordingly.
- Prepare and present regular reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, growth opportunities, and risks.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the brand and generate leads.

What are we looking out for?
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role, with a track record of successfully driving new business growth. Experience working in a martech space is preferred.
- Strong track record of driving execution 
- 0-to-1 mindset - hungry to prove yourself in a fast-paced startup environment; ability to build your own pipeline & create awareness in the region 
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve targets and exceed expectations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively with customers and partners.
- In-depth knowledge of the industry, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proactive and results-oriented approach, with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy, with the ability to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Willingness to travel as needed within the designated region and occasionally outside the region.

- Business Leadership: Revenue growth 200+% YoY Growth Trajectory, with focus on KPIs such as New Business bookings, win rates, pipeline metrics
- Brand Building: Category leadership in the Customer Engagement space. Market share growth & competitive differentiation.
- Employer Branding Leadership: Driving culture, engagement, and career path for the best talent in the region.

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be $150,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) of $300,000/year (including commissions). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
